Our History

Peak Equine Productions, LLC. was established in 2013.  After a career in academia, Patrick Kayser set out to establish an event management company specializing in equine events.  There is a lot of competition for discretionary dollars.  If events are not fun, people will take their money elsewhere. We cater to the exhibitors.  We strive to have fun, well run shows with special events added to show exhibitors our appreciate for choosing our event.  We dedicate each show to the exhibitor.

During his tenure at Middle Tennessee State University, Patrick taught an Equine Event and Facility Management class as part of the experiential learning curriculum in the Horse Science Program.  Under Dr. Kayser’s guidance, students learned how to market and promote events, manage shows and facilities, attract extramural funding, and learned the importance of adding value to showing experience.   From 2008-2011, Dr. Kayser and the students at MTSU managed the Lucky 7 Classic for TQHA-Region 7.  In 2012 during a down economy, the Lucky 7 Classic grew 121% by adding two additional shows.  Also in 2012 increased over 63% under each judge.  The Lucky 7 reached new heights in 2014 growing 29% from the previous year to over 1080 entries under each judge totaling 6500 entries during the six judge/four day circuit. Over six years under Patrick Kayser and Peak Equine Productions, LLC. the Lucky 7 Classic has grown 214%.  These numbers validate the philosophy that Patrick Kayser taught to his students.

In 2013, Patrick Kayser was one of the founding members of the Southern Equine Expo.  Peak Equine Productions, LLC. continues today as the Operations ManageSEE Logoment for the Expo.  During the first two years, the Southern Equine Expo grew 78%.  The Expo is dedicated to every horsemen.  The commitment to providing a diverse curriculum for the betterment of the horse includes training and horsemanship techniques from nationally recognized horsemen and women,  to management and health care.  Our goal to improve the horse/human interaction through education is unwavering.

Peak Equine Productions, LLC. produced several events in 2013 and 2014.  Building on his roots growing up on a working ranch in Wyoming, Patrick was instrumental in building the Tennessee affiliate of the American Stock Horse Association.  Patrick served as the Executive Director for Four years.  Peak Equine Produlogoctions, LLC. produced two stock horse shows in 2014 and look to producing several dual approved Versatility Ranch Horse/Stock Horse events in 2015 and 2016.  Peak Equine Productions, LLC. also established the Tri-Star Hunter Classic held at the Tennessee Miller Coliseum during June 2014.  This inaugural event was the first hunter only show held at the Miller Coliseum.  Patrick’s vision for the the Tri-Star Hunter Classic is the bring horse people with similar interests together for one great event.  The Tri-Star Hunter Classic was approved by the American Quarter Horse Association, Middle Tennessee Hunter Jumper Association, and the Huntfield Derby sanctioning body, the National Quarter Horse League.  The Stock horse competitions and the hunter shows highlight Peak Equine Productions and Patrick Kayser’s diversity and unbiased approach to creating events that unite horse people for all different backgrounds.
